Emmanuel Vila

Emmanuel Vila started dancing in South Florida in 2006 at Latin Beat Dance Studio. After learning their salsa casino style dancing and making it to their highest level, he was asked to come on to their dance instructors. Mr. Vila attended the Miami Salsa Congress in 2008, where he was exposed to a whole new world of dances routines and performances. While dancing on Latin Beat performance teams he expanded his dancing styles to include bachata, chachacha, merengue, and salsa on2. Emmanuel left Latin Beat in 2014 to open his own dance academy, BigCity Dance Studio. His main goal was centered on assisting his community and friends through dance instruction. During that time he attended the New York Salsa Congress where he participated in the dance challenge, instructed by Island Touch Dance Studio. The instructors at Island Touch were impressed with Emmanuel's ability to learn and help other learn dance routines that they made him team captain of Island Touch Miami Team. Emmanuel recently relocated to Gainseville, and hopes to continue teaching and to help the dance community as he has done in his previous hometowns. His extensive dance repertoire earned him the alias "knowledge". His experience and knowledge are welcomed at Baila Caliente and the Gainesville dance community.
